Cooking Whole Foods for Strong Bones (NEW RECIPES)

This is the cooking class companion to Dr. Annemarie Colbin's lecture and book, The Whole-Food Guide to Strong Bones. In this class you will learn how to apply principles of nutritional balance to keep bones supple and strong while preventing bone density loss and fractures. The menu in this class uses recipes inspired from Dr. Colbin's book and provides a solid foundation for preparing whole foods that properly nourish your bones in a natural way. Sunflower Seed Soup; Basmati Rice with Chives and Peanuts; Anasazi Beans with Collard Greens and Shiitake Mushrooms; Garlic String Beans; Puree of Yam; Cucumber, Radish and Wakame Salad with Walnut-Lime Dressing; and Poached Pears with Coconut Cream.
